More Meat Than I Can Eat & The Weekly Recap

Aug 06, 2021 3:01 pm

Dear Reader,

We are still in Brazil and eating way too much food... I took my family & friends out for a phenomenal steak dinner last night. It was five adults and one child and it was super affordable.

To put things in context, we had appetizers for the whole table, more meat than we could eat (literally), tons of sides like yuka, rice, french fries, chicken hearts, polenta, fried cheese, bbq cheese, garlic bread, salad, farofa... plus... two fresh abacaxi juices (pineapple) for my wife and kid, and a fantastic bottle of Brazilian red wine for us.

And I don't mean we ate just any crummy piece of meat, I mean we ate huge organic t-bone steaks and juicy lamb on the bone, all from the very South of Brazil. The owner of the restaurant talked with us and explained the story of where the cows come from and how they graze on over 3000 different types of botanicals and clovers from the hills; that because of this, the fat of the meat has no omega-6s in it that can cause inflammation; his meat has only the beneficial omega-3 fatty acids that are actually healthy for you.

For six of us, it was only $103 USD (including tax and tip!)

I just thought this was illustrative and should share it with you because when I tell you that my life in Florianópolis (one of the safest and most beautiful places in the country) is super affordable, I really really mean it!

Oh yeah, and you can check their place out on Instagram.

Anyways, that's all, enjoy this week's content!
