A couple of weeks ago, we capped off an incredible week of conferences in Panama with an epic night of food, drinks, and dancing to celebrate my 40th birthday.

I also think it's important you know that my team and I put so much effort into videos like this, not because I am trying to show off or pretend to be cooler than I am, but instead because it really demonstrates that we are a real-life community.

We had about 150 people for the party, but there are over 40,000 subscribers!

I can imagine that for a lot of people, they might have thought themselves crazy for wanting to jump on an airplane and fly across the world to attend some podcaster's birthday that they have never met in person... even if they really wanted to go...

I want you to know that everything works out, everyone has a ton of fun, and it's okay to be daring and join us for our live events.

At the end of the day, my birthday is just a reason to bring everyone together to have some fun and meet other like-minded people.

Believe it or not, my birthday is not actually that important to me; the important part is spending time with our community.

That's what I care about most.
