Mikkel gets schooled about a "Sophisticated Society"
Apr 06, 2023 11:16 am
I got this doozy of a reply from my email newsletter on Monday. Let me copy and paste it verbatim for you:
Oh, give me a break! "Woke terrorist government". First of all, learn what that over-used term"woke" actually means (hint: it isn't about liberalism or pregressivism or fair and equal taxation). By the way, how many rich people will die because their taxes may be increased (hint: none). Grow up. You live in a sophisticated society? Then, pay more taxes to support it. Your wealth will still be yours.

So much to break down in this; we might be here for a while…
Alright, let's start with the basics. After the email went out, my friend put the term into an online dictionary, and this is what came back:
There is no widely recognized or accepted term called "woke terrorism" in academic or political discourse.
The term "woke" typically refers to a social and political movement that promotes awareness and activism regarding social and racial justice issues, such as systemic racism, gender inequality, and other forms of discrimination.
Terrorism, on the other hand, involves the use of violence or intimidation in pursuit of political or ideological goals.
The combination of these terms, "woke terrorism," seems to be a controversial and inflammatory term that may be used by some to describe violent actions or extremism in the name of social justice causes.
That sounds bang on to me.
See, technology gets it right sometimes!
The next piece is “how many rich people will die because their taxes may be increased (hint: none).”
Wow, where to start with this one…
Okay, listen, taxation is theft, full stop.
If someone comes up to you in your normal life, threatens you with violence, and takes the money out of your wallet, is it okay?
What if they told you they were doing it for the good of society, how about now?
It’s wrong; it’s wrong for a person to do it, it's wrong for a corporation to do it, and it's wrong for the government to do it.
Wrong is wrong.
This is natural law.
Everyone needs to be held to the same standards; no one is above these laws.
Theft is wrong.
And the last point of not dying because you were robbed is insane. Imagine if that was the bright-line test on the difference between right and wrong. If you live, it's right; if you die, it’s wrong.
A pretty thin margin for error…
Third point.
I am told I need to “grow up”
Not sure how fighting for freedom, respect, personal responsibility, and living with morals and ethics front and center in everything I do is immature.
Or how being a present father of two, homeschooling my kids, being a loyal and loving husband, running a 7-figure consulting business, or managing a team of 18 employees over 5 countries, is somehow childish.
I work hard to put out a ton of free content to help people fight back against what is happening in the world. I am 6 hours a day on conference calls assisting clients to escape the totalitarian regimes we have seen unleashed.
But I guess in a society that holds up celebrities as heroes who cheat on their spouses, are absentee parents, and play the victim card every chance they get, then a man who takes responsibility for himself is an alien and foreign concept.
Fourth point. “You live in a sophisticated society? Then, pay more taxes to support it.”
Yeah, I don’t think so. I will devote my life to helping people to legally not pay taxes.
Starve the beast, I say.
Every day I wake up passionate about doing everything I can to help get people out of their abusive relationships with their governments.
The person who wrote me this email has some serious Stockholm syndrome...
Fifth point: “Your wealth will still be yours.”
That’s the problem; it won’t be. They have openly told you they want to eat the rich, that you will own nothing and be happy.
There is no reasoning with these monsters; they will never be satisfied.
They will keep pushing for more and more until you are dead, and even then, they will tax whatever is leftover.
