You can’t be blamed for conflating “off-grid” living with a lifestyle in which the modern amenities and luxuries of life are lost.

I personally can’t relate too much to those of the population who are able to forgo the things many have become accustomed to in the more developed parts of the world. 

What can I say? I like the finer things, and I value convenience.

Sure, the peacefulness, independence, and a freer way of living seems amazing to me, but until now, the trade-off has always been far too great for me to genuinely consider going “off-grid.”…

Like I said, until now….
