Important - How To Get The Best Expat Information

Dec 10, 2022 8:52 pm

So if you don’t run an online business, you might not know this, but email-sending software (like the one I use) count open rates and clicks for every newsletter we send out.

And the software stops sending to people it thinks are unengaged and doesn’t care about the content (people who stop opening or clicking links).

That means if someone stops opening the emails or stops clicking the links, they will automatically be removed from the sending list and will not receive any more information.

That makes sense, right?

But here’s the thing, just like me, a lot of the people on my newsletter list are very interested in privacy, and with a lot of the privacy focused email accounts, it doesn’t show the sending system that the emails are being read (even if they are).

This might sound great, and in many ways, it can be, but people have to understand that they might not receive the requested content, like my email newsletter and podcast.

It’s like a false reply to the system; it thinks you are not reading the emails, even if you are.

I had this with a Private Client of mine a couple of weeks ago. The system stopped sending to her even though she is very interested in the content and reads all of my emails. She even called to check on me because she thought I had stopped writing the newsletter for a month (I was sending it as normal, but she just stopped getting them).

My work is put out to help people regain some freedom in their lives. In 23 years of living overseas, I have never seen a better vehicle for doing this than the offshore markets and being an expat.

Anyways, how do you make sure you continue to receive all the content I put out for expat living and the offshore markets?

Well, here are a couple of things you can do:

  1. Make sure you open every email; even if my email headline sucks, still open it; there might be something good inside ;)

  1. Click the links inside the emails. I put out podcast episodes, webinars, blogs, special offers, books, summits, and tons of valuable content. Make sure you check it out and click the links.

  1. Check your spam folder. If any of my emails are there, go in and mark them as “not spam” and bring them up to your inbox (or the “primary” tab on Gmail).

  1. Write back. Even a quick, couple-word email to me saying you enjoyed the content (or you hated it, I don’t care). Get some back-and-forth going, it makes a difference.

If you do these things regularly, you will continue to benefit from all the research and content we put out.

If you don’t do them, you will miss out.

The last point, I am a real person, a real guy with a family, and I am doing my best to help as many people as I can secure themselves, their wealth, and their businesses overseas. There are dark days ahead, and I am putting in long hours trying to help people through this because I genuinely care.

There are a million ways to make money in the world, and most of them are a hell of a lot easier than the business I created…

But for me, this is a calling, it’s a mission, and for every person I help, I know I am doing what I was meant to do, and that it’s important.

If we have ever met in person, then you know I am genuine and really care about my people, being honest and ethical are front and center of all of my work. People tell me I am EXACTLY like I am on camera and in the podcast. That makes me very happy to hear.

So I really do want to see you succeed and figure this stuff out.

Well, enough of my rambling; I was just sitting here on my Saturday afternoon getting ready for our annual Christmas Party tonight and thought I would remind you guys that if you want to benefit from our work, then you need to open all the emails, click the links, and send me some messages from time to time.

As for links, here are a bunch of articles my team and I have put out recently (we publish a ton of FREE articles every week on the blog about immigration, wealth protection, and tax savings), take a look:

Have a great weekend, speak soon,

Mikkel
