I started reading the Wheel of Time books when I was probably about 18 years old, I have always been a pretty big nerd and even though I had a lot of trouble with reading when I was a small child I absolutely fell in love with it as a teenager.

By now I have read thousands upon thousands of books, mostly nonfiction, but I still love the fantasy genre even as an adult.

Last year I read the entire Witcher series (7 books) and the complete Dresden Files series (17 books +2 short story collections).

This was on top of the maybe 80 some odd nonfiction books I plowed through for my business. 

I was also massively into A Song Of Ice And Fire, long before it was the Game of Thrones TV show, and another series called Malaz Book Of The Fallen, which is another absolutely gargantuan fantasy epic.

But out of all of this, Wheel of Time is probably my favourite book series of all time.

I was watching the new TV series tonight (for the second time) with my family and this time I was really able to just enjoy it for what it was. I guess the first time I was so scared they were going to ruin my favourite book that I was on edge the entire first go. 

It’s the huge world-building that I think I love the most, the backstory, understanding where the characters came from, how they develop and grow. 

I think I love this style of book for the same reason I love finance. 

Trying to see how things fit together and the complexity of it all, it’s a puzzle that I have never gotten tired of.

It’s my magic power, I can understand the world better than most.

It’s something that has taken decades to develop.

And through that, I am able to see trends early.

When I was in Colombia with my friend Marco Wutzer, we talked a lot about a new project in the crypto space which is like a portal sucking in assets. 

And on the other side of the portal is money. 

I got an email from him last night saying he is putting the final touches on the longest and most important report he has ever written about a crypto project and it will be out next week.

Through private talks with him, I already know what the project is and how important it is for the world of DeFi, without sharing many details I can say that we are already making millions of dollars a month with it.
