A lesson from my childhood...

I remember when I was a child, my favourite toy in the whole wide world was Lego, I would spend morning to night playing with it, building complex castles and pirate ships, cars and cities, everything you could imagine.
At night, I would lay in bed for an hour before sleeping and create these massive projects in my mind. I knew what pieces I had in my collection, how they fit together and what belonged where.
I would construct the entire design in my mind before I slept, and when I woke up, I'd run downstairs and without any hesitation, recreate what I had envisioned.
Now as an adult, I do the same thing with business. I lay in bed before sleeping and put together deals, new marketing campaigns, emails I must write, articles to answer people's questions. I see everything in my mind's eye; then the next morning I create it.
People often ask me how I have time to run a podcast, 7 free newsletters, a popular blog and a magazine. Well, this is how. I create it in my mind before I create it in the real world. I allow time for myself and don't try and cram every spare second of the day with screen time.
Are you giving yourself a chance to be creative?
