Montenegro: The Most Beautiful Country In The World?

Aug 31, 2024 10:13 am

I've been in Montenegro for the last few days with my family. I came here to speak at a niche offshore conference and strengthen relationships with important European colleagues.

This is my first time in Montenegro; it's been on the bucket list forever, but the opportunity had not presented itself before now.

Of course, I had heard from many friends and colleagues how beautiful the country is, but really, how much more beautiful could it be than other places I had been?

Well, I can say it is substantially more beautiful—it's almost too pretty. Seriously, I am shocked a place this nice even exists.

Today, I am in the off-season ski resorts, staying at a Swiss-style chalet. Yesterday, I was on the coast in Tivat, swimming in the Adriatic Sea. The day before that, I was walking through an old walled city, looking at churches and drinking Apparol in the sun.

I have not been to every country in the world (yet), but of the one-hundred-and-ten-odd countries I have been to, I reckon this has to be the most beautiful.

Is it perfect?

No, there are some problems here that would prevent me from moving to the country as an expat; there is more that goes into place to live than just beauty. But what a great place to spend some time and visit!

I am scheduled to record an interview tonight with a friend who has been in and out of Montenegro as an investor for the last eight years, so watch out for that on the podcast and YouTube to hear more thoughts about the country.

Speak soon,

Mikkel

PS. We have just released the dates for our Panama Fly'n Buy tour for fall/winter 2024. These usually sell out very fast, so if you are looking for an excellent place to park some money and potentially get an excellent second residency, this would be my number one destination right now. You can find out more about the tours here: https://expatmoney.com/panama-fly-n-buy-real-estate-tour

PS. If you decide to move forward with something in Panama, we will pay for your trip, including airfare; learn more here. Why? Because I believe it best if you come and see everything with your own eyes; nothing beats seeing it yourself.
