I'm off to Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia

Things have been a little crazy for us over at Expat Money HQ, so I am a little behind in writing this newsletter.

But today, I thought I would give you a bit of an update on what we have been up to and what is going on...

First, this Friday, I am off to Turkey to purchase another property. If you have been on the newsletter for a while, you would remember last year that I was over in Istanbul getting set up to do the Turkish Citizenship by Investment.

Well, I got a little distracted when St Kitts dropped their CBI program price to only $125k (now at $250k USD for the primary applicant), and I jumped at that opportunity to get a passport there at the discounted rate. I ended up taking 12 families through the process, and we are all just waiting for a resolution on our applications, which we should get in the next few weeks.

Anyways, now that I have a little bit more mental bandwidth, we are moving forwards with our Turkish plan and are heading over there for 10 days this week to select a property (I like to actually go through the programs first myself before advising clients on how to do it and would rather be the guineapig to make things smoother for my clients).

After that, I am heading to Tbilisi, Georgia, to speak at a conference and visit a friend for his birthday. From there, I am planning on going to Armenia and Azerbaijan to check things out for a couple of weeks.

There are some pretty interesting things happening over in that part of the world, and I have a bunch of meetings scheduled with the local lawyers and banks to see what might make sense to help my clients with.

I will be on the road for about a month, but I will still be doing my client work, just as a digital nomad, for a bit. The other fun thing is the whole family is coming with me; my wife, 2 kids, my mother, and even our nanny. I am sure I am the only guy to ever bring his kids and the Colombian nanny to Azerbaijan, but that's alright...

Last year when I did my month-long summer trip to Turkey, Cyprus, North Cyprus, Italy, and Lebanon, it was too long to be separated from my kids, so I am bringing everyone along this time on my work trip.

Getting ready for this trip, I've been doing 8-10 hours of consultation calls every day with my Private Clients so that everyone is set up and taken care of while I will be travelling. It's been good but very tiring.

The progress my clients are making is amazing to watch, and I am so thrilled to be part of their journey. The results are truly transformational, and you could get the same results, too; however, I will not be taking on any new Private Clients until I am back in September, but applications need to go in now if you want to work with me.

The other thing that we have been focused on is getting ready for our annual online Expat Money Summit from Oct 2nd to the 6th.

Everything needs to be ready to go because we will not have much time once I get back from this trip until the summit starts, so we are trying to be really efficient and organized.

So far, our confirmed speakers include Peter Schiff, Marc Faber, Dr. Ron Paul, Doug Casey, Jim Rogers, Tom Luongo, and our newest confirmed speaker, my friend Tom Woods.

The conference is going to focus on the practical side of freedom and what we can do to have more freedom in our lives right now, not just in theory but in a practical sense. A lot of our speakers will also be looking at what we can expect in 2024 and how to be prepared for all the changes coming down the pipeline.

The event is fully online, and it's FREE to attend. You can register here:

So there you have it; this has been our focus, getting ready for our big month-long trip, making sure all my private clients are taken care of, and organizing a massive online event with some of the biggest name speakers in the world.

Speak soon,

Mikkel

PS. If any of my subscribers will be in these countries during August & September, let me know, and maybe we can meet up!
