A Quiet Change in Germany With Frightening Implications

Apr 10, 2026 11:41 am

There’s a story coming out of Germany right now that most people likely just outright missed.

But if you care about freedom, then what quietly took effect in Germany on January 1st, 2026, should scare the living hell out of you.

German men between the ages of 17 and 45 are now required to obtain permission from a special military commission before leaving the country for more than 3 months.

Want to work or study abroad?

Get in line, ask nicely and cross your fingers that they allow you.

Time for an extended vacation after graduating high school?

Yep, go ask for your papers and hope they’ll let you leave.

And technically, approvals are “expected to be granted under normal conditions”.

That’s not really the point, and besides that, what are “normal conditions” these days anyway?

This is way too open to interpretation… and way too open to the government's definition of “normal conditions”.

Oh, and it gets better!

Starting this year, every 18-year-old male is required to submit personal information to the government (education info, health status, and whether they’re willing to serve).

And beginning in 2027…

They won’t just be filling out forms…

They’ll be required to show up for fitness testingto determine who could be drafted if needed.

So while this isn’t full conscription, it’s clearly a step in that direction: a structured system to identify, assess, and prepare a pool of young men… just in case.

While service in Germany is still “voluntary”, I wouldn’t gamble my life or my children’s on it staying that way…

Let me ask you something…

With the level of surveillance already in place, the degree of financial oversight and the integration between banks, governments, and digital watchdog-style systems in most Western countries…

Do you think a place like, oh, let’s say Canada, for example, would need to build anything new to track and enforce something like this?

…or is everything already in place for this same type of thing to be rolled out at a moment’s notice?

What would it actually take??

Your travel activity is already tracked.

Your financial transactions already leave a detailed trail.

Your access to banking services can already be limited, delayed, or restricted without warning.

So, if a new policy were to roll out tomorrow in your home country that requires “approval” for extended travel, clearly, enforcement would be a cinch.

It could happen with the flip of a switch.

This trend of keeping (or encouraging) young, fighting-age males handy as cannon fodder is playing out in other countries, too.

Just recently, the U.S. Army raised its maximum enlistment age from 35 to 42 and loosened some restrictions about past marijuana use.

They are expanding the pool of eligible recruits.

Sure, as of now, there is no immediate policy or draft forcing people into service in Germany or the U.S, but that’s not really the point.

The point is this: the window is widening right under your nose, and the list of WHO could be called upon is expanding to include more of your children, friends, and neighbours who have nothing to do with fighting their wars.

Different countries.

Different approaches.

Same “control crazy” trajectory.

Now, to anyone living in Germany reading this, you need to take this especially seriously.

Beyond seriously.

…and to anyone living in a country where the government is taking clear steps to establish more control over you…

You should be asking yourself a very simple question:If it can happen there, why couldn’t it happen here”?

Now, more than ever, it is paramount to ensure that your ability to move, operate, and live your life on your own terms is not entirely dependent on a single system.

This is why we build Plan-B’s.

PS. History shows us again and again that once wars start, there is a rush for the exits. Civilians hiked the Alps in WW2, Americans fled to Canada during the Vietnam War, and Ukrainians raced to the West in 2022. This is the world we live in. You’ll need to take action to stay two steps ahead of what’s coming. Start here.
