The American Dream Has Moved South
Nov 17, 2025 12:06 pm
The latest Stress in America 2025 Survey, conducted by the American Psychological Association, was released this week… and the numbers are brutal.
63% of young adults aged 18-34 are thinking about leaving the U.S.
Half of all parents are thinking the same.
And honestly? I don’t blame them.
Because the truth no one wants to admit is this:
The American Dream isn’t in America anymore.
If anything… it’s quietly becoming the Latin American Dream.
When a record number of Americans say they’re overwhelmed, uncertain, lonely, and physically sick from the direction of their own country, that’s not a “phase.”
That’s a system that’s breaking down.
Americans aren’t dreaming about “making it” in the U.S. anymore…they’re dreaming about escaping it.
They’re looking at places where governments don’t take half their income…
Where inflation isn’t eating them alive…
And where the opportunity for a comfortable life actually feels possible again.
Every single day, I watch more Americans find that version of life in Latin America.
Countries with territorial tax systems, simple residency programs, and an affordable cost of living…
These aren’t fantasies; they’re real places where real people are building the lives they want for themselves and their families.
They’re the new safety valves for people who are tired of being squeezed by their own country.
If you’re feeling the pressure, the frustration, the sense that the country you grew up in is not the country you’re living in anymore… you’re not imagining it.
Millions around the world share the same sentiment.
Every single day, I hear from people not only in the U.S., but from countries like Canada, the U.K., France and Australia. And their story is the same:
“My country is no longer what I grew up believing it was.”
But here’s the difference between the people who stay stuck and the ones who become freer.
The people who truly value their freedom take action to claim it.
Don’t wait for the stress to get worse.
Don’t wait for another election cycle to disappoint you.
And don’t wait for the American Dream to come back home.
It’s already packed its bags.
If you’re done waiting for things to magically get better, take a moment right now to read this important letter.
Speak soon,
Mikkel
