Two Years in Prison— For Honking?
Apr 21, 2025 12:21 pm
Two years in prison…for honking.
That’s what Canadian prosecutors are demanding for Tamara Lich and Chris Barber, the organizers of the 2022 Freedom Convoy, which they put together to protest the government’s malicious COVID vaccine mandates.
The two were recently found not guilty on most charges, but one of the charges did stick, and prosecutors are seeking a two-year prison sentence.
The crime? Mischief. And “encouraging honking” of vehicle horns.
A federal judge has already ruled that the government’s use of the Emergencies Act—essentially a declaration of martial law—was unjustified.
But that didn’t stop the prosecutors from pushing forward with charges, determined to make an example out of these two freedom-loving Canadians.
Not because they committed violence. Not because they incited hatred. But because they embarrassed the state and challenged its authority.
This is what tyranny looks like when it wears a suit and tie. Peaceful dissent is punished. Symbols of resistance are seized. Those standing up are facing censorship, debanking, and lawfare.
And this is happening more and more in “first-world” countries like Canada.
You don’t have to agree with the Freedom Convoy - though I suspect much of my audience does - to see the danger.
When nonviolent protest becomes criminalized, the question isn’t whether this could happen to you.
It’s when.
This is why international diversification is no longer optional.
Second residencies and passports, offshore banking, international investments… these aren’t luxuries for the wealthy.
They’re necessities for anyone who refuses to be trapped.
Because if they do this to Tamara and Chris, they’ll do it to you.
Get your Plan-B in place before you need it.
Speak soon,
Mikkel
