Spain Is Replacing Its Own People

Spain just approved a plan to grant legal status to 500,000 undocumented migrants…

…well, I suppose that when you have one of the lowest birth rates in Europe, at just 1.10 births per woman in 2024 (well below the replacement level of 2.1), you have to legally accept even the people who arrived illegally because they will “pick up the slack”...

Spain’s “demographic problem” did not appear out of thin air.

…it was manufactured.

For decades, Western governments, universities, media institutions and “cultural makers” have demonized the idea of starting a family.

They pushed marriage as “unnecessary and outdated”.

They branded having children as “expensive” and “a drag”.

They brainwashed young women to believe that motherhood was “less prestigious” than climbing the corporate ladder.

Meanwhile, housing prices and taxes rose, wages remained stagnant, the cost of living increased, and jobs dried up, making it increasingly difficult for a young couple to buy a home, raise children, and build a stable family.

You can’t spend decades making family life financially difficult, culturally unfashionable, and politically neglected and then act surprised when the native population stops reproducing at replacement levels.

That is the story of demographic failure playing out in Spain (and in most Western countries, too).

Now, rather than supporting the native population and reversing course, the Spanish government is looking to immigration as the “pressure release valve” by granting legal status to people who arrived in the country without proper documentation or an invitation.

…and as expected, the Spanish government (and the liberals backing them) view this as both a humanitarian effort and an “economic necessity.”

Instead of addressing the root issues and beginning to rebuild a society where marriage, home ownership and family formation make sense for native citizens, governments are (seemingly happily) legally welcoming people from the 3rd world.

…all without addressing some pretty basic questions…

Can the schools handle it? Can the healthcare system handle it? Can the housing market handle it?

What will happen to the wages?

…or the biggest, most impactful, and often-forbidden question…

Are these “newcomers” able to peacefully fit in to their new “home”?

These are not “extreme” questions by any stroke of the imagination… but they sure love to brand you as “racist” for even asking them…

This pattern is basically alive and well in every first-world Western nation, where younger generations have been scolded into prioritizing just about everything above family.

Eventually, political polarization explodes, and the same political class that created the problem lectures citizens for noticing the consequences.

If you’re living in a country that is “welcoming” hundreds of thousands or even millions of people, you’re not crazy, racist, or “bad” for feeling concerned about it.

Liberal governments with socialist ideologies will always experiment at the expense of their natural citizens.

For those of you not willing to live with the results of their failed experiments, take a moment right now to read this important letter carefully.

Mikkel
