A team member needs some help
Nov 20, 2024 4:07 pm
I don't normally put things like this on our email list, but we have a very important team member who needs some help, and this community is very much like a family for all of us.
Marc Clair, who oversees content and marketing here at Expat Money, along with his wife Diane, have been helping his mother-in-law, Patty, in her battle with cancer over the last year.
She is currently in need of an emergency intestinal surgery due to a complication so that she can continue her fight.
Unfortunately, this won't come as much of a surprise to this audience, but when attempting to get this surgery from the government hospital system in Mexico, she was severely neglected and left with further infections that needs to be treated, and the only place to turn is the (very excellent) private system in Mexico.
She is currently in a great hospital being treated for her infections, and the surgery she needs will run around 800,000 Pesos (about $40,000 USD.)
Marc and Diane have been doing their best to help out of their own pockets but have reached a point where they need to turn to their community of family and friends to help.
So I'm passing this along to our Expat Money Community as well. If you have read an article, listened to a podcast, attended our Summit, or consumed any of our content here, Marc has had his hand in creating it.
Patty is only 61 years old and has a lot of decades of life left in her if we can help get her through this:

Thank you for anything you can give,
