Is New York City About to Elect a Proud Socialist?
Jun 30, 2025 11:21 am
I’ve lived in various parts of the world, including Muslim nations like the UAE, where I made lifelong friends and developed a deep respect for the culture.
So when American politicians obsess over Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic nominee for Mayor of New York City, and his Muslim faith, it reeks of close-minded fear-mongering.
Frankly, it’s racist.
But let me be clear: my issue isn’t that he’s Muslim.
As I’ve told my friends, what I’m concerned about is not the fact that he’s a Muslim, but that he’s an absolute commie; that’s the real problem here.
His wild and radical socialist policies, not his religion, are what could torch New York City if he wins the mayoral race and actually gets through any frankly stupid ideas, such as government-run grocery stores and “free” childcare.
Mamdani also advocates for rent freezes, free buses, and a $ 30-per-hour minimum wage.
This might all sound nice to the economically illiterate, but it’s a total disaster waiting to happen.
I’ve got friends who’ve lived through socialist and communist regimes like the Soviet Union, Mao’s China and today’s Venezuela, and they’d pick free-market capitalism every time.
Socialism stifles ambition, expands government, and fosters resentment.
It destroys everything it touches.
Just look at radical Democrat-run cities like San Francisco or Seattle: skyrocketing crime, homelessness, and taxes, with businesses fleeing in droves.
NYC’s existing problems can’t handle Mamdani’s pipe dreams.
It’s a recipe for collapse, and if you currently live there and read this, your family’s wealth and freedom will pay the price.
The fact that New York City—the former capital of global capitalism—is now flirting with electing an open socialist should set off alarms for anyone paying attention.
This is where deep-blue cities in the United States are headed.
You don’t need to be a political strategist to know this is a seriously bad situation.
Speak soon,
Mikkel
