Argentina Exits The World Health Organization

Feb 07, 2025 2:21 pm

I was pretty thrilled to see that Argentinian President and libertarian icon Javier Milei reposted my article on X about his incredible speech against wokeism in Davos this year.

When I began to see the notifications erupt on X, I thought this was just the coolest thing, as I’ve been a big fan of Milei since he came onto the political scene a few years ago.

Speaking of Milei, I also saw this week that he has followed in the United States’ footsteps and pulled Argentina out of the World Health Organization, largely citing the organization's response to COVID-19 as the primary reason.

I personally love seeing this. I hope to see more bold leaders like Trump and Milei decoupling from huge, centralized organizations like the WHO.

This organization is directly responsible for the rapid and nearly universal implementation of lockdowns, “social distancing,” and other horrors imposed during the COVID years.

I’m a huge advocate of health freedom and consider the WHO's very existence to be an abomination, so I give Milei huge props for pulling out of the organization altogether.

I’ve previously discussed that while I’m not quite ready to recommend Argentina as a Plan-B destination for expats, it’s certainly a country to keep a close eye on, especially as Javier Milei continues to prove to be every bit of the libertarian he claims to be.

What do you think? Have you been looking more closely at Argentina since Milei came into power?

I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Speak soon,

Mikkel
