Important Information About Upcoming Party On March 18th

Mar 06, 2023 4:35 pm

You are registered to attend my Birthday bash here in Panama on March 18th.

I thought I would send out some general information to try and help everyone stay organized.

#1. TRANSPORTATION TO THE BEACH

Pick-up will be at the Riu Hotel on March 18th. We will have two buses, and we would like the first bus to go by around 1:45 pm with the second one to leave maybe 30-45 minutes after that, depending on how quickly it fills up.

If you have not yet told Susan you are driving instead of taking the bus, please do that today. You can reach her directly at trips@ExpatMoney.com

This is the location for the hotel where the pick-up is: https://goo.gl/maps/PFWeYk3UAiFSr2oa7

Uber is the best way to get there from the airport (or anywhere else in the City). I suggest downloading it on your phone before you arrive. The airport has free wifi for 30 minutes in case you don’t have international data. Going from the airport to the hotel should be less than $20.00. Taxis might try and charge you a lot more than that and are often not the cleanest cars. Uber or, even better, Uber Black is the way to go in Panama City.

For those of you who are on the conference with me or coming to the beach a day early, then the above pick-up location is different for you, and you will get special instructions.

#2. RETURNING TO PANAMA CITY

Transportation back to Panama City will happen both the night of the 18th around 10pmish, and the following day around 12:00 pmish if you are spending the night and have reserved and paid for accommodations.

Once again, if you are on the conference with me, we have taken care of your accommodations, and you have nothing to worry about.

#3. CLOTHING & ATTIRE

The party is on the beach. Please wear something nice but comfortable and appropriate for the weather. Be aware that the sand gets very hot during the day, so I suggest beach shoes or other close-toed shoes. You should also bring sunscreen as the sun can be strong in Panama. There will be shade to sit under, but still worthwhile to have proper sun protection.

#4. SWIMMING

We will have a pool, and you can swim in the ocean, so feel free to bring a bathing suit and a change of clothes (yes, there is a place to change). Also please bring your own towels if you would like to swim.

#5. FOOD & DRINK

I will provide all the food and drinks for the day, so there is no need to worry about any of that. We have everything covered for you.

#6. HIGHLANDS TOUR

If you are part of the trip to the highlands on March 17th, please bring sturdy shoes and long pants to protect your legs. Once again, sun protection is important.

#7. SUPPORT

We are going to have a lot of fun that weekend. If you have questions or need any help planning things, then please contact Susan at trips@ExpatMoney.com

If something has happened and you have to cancel your trip with us, let us know immediately, as we are counting places on the bus and want to make sure we are organized.

Best,

Mikkel
