My Dentist in Panama does this...

So I just got back from the Dentist here in Panama.
I went in for my regular checkup and cleaning. I go a few times a year, and the Dentist who works on Saturdays does something really interesting.
This is something I never saw when I lived in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Brazil, or any of the other random countries I have lived in over the last 25 years as an expat.
I didn't even see this when I used to fly to South Korea for my dental appointments when I did a lot of medical tourism.
The first thing the Dentist did, before even looking at my teeth, was ask me how my blood work was, my cholesterol, and my overall health.
I told him I had just been checked a few weeks ago when I did my executive check-up here in Panama, but my LHL and HDL could be a tiny bit better, and I am working on it with my Longevity Doctor to improve it.
This is where he really impressed me...
He says to make sure I fix it with nutrition and lifestyle; don't let them put you on medications because those medications will cause early-onset Alzheimer's and a host of other problems.
I was so impressed because I usually find the standard medical industry always tows the party line -- more drugs, more invasive expensive surgery, more food pyramid garbage of wheat and refined grains as the base of food and fat, even good fat, as low as close to zero as possible.
Then he examined my glands, jaw, neck, throat, etc., all externally, before even opening my mouth to look at my teeth.
Wow, finally, someone who understands our body works as a system and everything is interconnected!
He spent about 30 minutes checking everything and speaking with me about oral health and how things affect each other.
Between this and the following cleaning, I was in the Dentist's chair for around 90 minutes.
How much for this world-class treatment?
A whopping $90 USD total haha.
That's money well spent if you ask me!
I should also mention that I go to one of the best Dentists here. If you were on a budget, I am sure you could find a Dentist for half the price or less, but the Dental Clinic I go to treats the old President of the country and all the wealthy and influential families here.
Anyways, I just thought this was a cool experience, and one I am sure would not happen back in my Home and Native Land, Canada.
