Spain won’t protect you… but it will “help” you die
Mar 31, 2026 12:06 pm
We all have a basic expectation of what a functional society is supposed to offer its citizens.
Protect its people.
Uphold some sense of order.
Sadly, this duty is lost on the once-great nation of Spain.
A young Spanish woman was recently euthanized by her government for psychiatric suffering (depression, PTSD, trauma).
Her issues weren’t just clinical, nor were her symptoms brought on by some stroke of bad fortune or a chemical imbalance…
Her issues followed, a violent sexual assault.
…a sexual assault that took place inside a state-sponsored centre for vulnerable youth.
What happened to her was life-altering… so much so that after this assault (which was perpetrated by 3 young men who are being referred to as migrants by non-mainstream media outlets), she attempted suicide.
She suffered greatly.
The worst part is, her suffering was not her fault.
The blame lies at the feet of the Spanish government.
Where was her protection?
Why was her physical safety not a priority inside that centre?
Once her life had been reshaped by something that should never have happened, the system didn’t step in and rebuild her…
…it approved her death.
Think about that; a system that could not protect her beforehand had no issue “formalizing her exit.”
This is a society that seems like it couldn't care less about maintaining order on the front end, despite the consequences on the back end.
We’ve already seen how this plays out in Canada, where access to medically assisted death (under the disturbing MAID program) continues to expand, and while long-term support systems like healthcare, mental health services, and rehab remain slow, strained, and difficult to access.
Different country.
Same direction.
This isn’t about debating euthanasia; I don’t care to do that today.
I do, however, care to ask you something that should reveal the reality about the governments that most of you reading this are living under today:
Is your government focused on preventing harm?
…or is it more content to “manage” the consequences once it’s already been done?
If you’re anything like me, or the tens of thousands of people inside the Expat Money community, I’m sure you agree it’s the latter…
There are places in the world where maintaining order is still the priority and where systems are designed to protect first… not just respond after the damage is done.
If you have amassed a reasonable amount of wealth through hard work and understand that the systems around you won't protect you, we should talk… because I can help.
Before anything else, first things first: read this important letter here to get a solid understanding of why I am in a unique position to do so.
If what you read resonates, and you’re serious about escaping the grips of governments that see you as no more than a revenue stream, then you can go ahead and fill out this application form here to schedule a call with Melissa, my Head of Client Intake.
What you’ll have to do next will become obvious after you and Melisa have spoken.
Read the important letter right now.
Speak soon,
Mikkel
PS. I don’t just help people escape countries that have shown time and time again they don’t care about their citizens… I help people build better, more prosperous lives overseas, too. One way I help members of the Expat Money Community do exactly that is by bringing them cash-flowing, high-upside investment opportunities in emerging markets they can capitalize on. This past Saturday, I hosted a special presentation where I discussed exactly that. If you weren’t there live for the presentation, you can watch the replay here: Watch Saturday’s Special Presentation. After I host these presentations, I make the replay available for about two weeks. After that, viewing access is limited to members of The Hub only.
