Let's face it, most of us have travelled with a suitcase full of 'what ifs,' only to realize we wore roughly half of what we brought.

It consists of 5 tops, 4 bottoms, 3 shoes, 2 layering pieces, and 1 dress (or alternative). This flexible system can be adjusted for climate or trip length.

You may want to use multiple 5-4-3-2-1 groups at home for different occasions (work, leisure, formal). Neutrals work best for easy matching, but any colour palette works. I’m trying this method for my upcoming 36-day Europe trip and will report back!

Pro Tips:

• Add colour with accessories like cardigans or scarves.
• Layer for temperature changes and pack a lightweight raincoat.
• Edit your selections carefully. Eliminate items that don't mix well or compromise comfort.
• Pack comfortable, versatile shoes—3 pairs max. Wear the bulkiest pair during travel.
