Hello! Kickstarter already slapped this campaign with a Project We Love badge! I can't thank you all enough for supporting the entire Steamborn series. Hard to believe this steampunk world has been chugging along for over a decade now!

I'll get deeper into the Kickstarter pitch in a second, but on a more personal note, Amy and I were left unsupervised at a pen show last weekend, so we have a few new pens in the house! I'm absolutely in love with the spray can packaging of this Retro 1951 Grafitti Mickey. And the Conklin fountain pen is a metal web, so it has some satisfying heft. We even got some miniature multicolor click pens that took me straight back to the 1980s!

Now, a bit more about that Kickstarter. 940 pages, red gilded edges, foil stamped dust jacket, silver and blood red foil stamped black leather cover all protected by a stunning black slipcase. Beautifully designed by Murphy Rae with a meticulously illustrated map by Misty Beee, interior art by Enggar Adirasa, and Fel's tailsword emblem by Sean Long. Map artwork headers on the first page of each chapter. Map printed on the opening end papers.

Tropes include Found Family, Steampunk, High Stakes, War Comes Home, Coming of Age, Dystopian, and Epic World-Building.
