What a 20.000 people crowd teaches you

What's this crowd?
A few days ago I went to see John Mayer (my favorite artist btw) live in London.
This was the view from my seat and these are 20.000 people, all looking at one person on the stage.
And when I was looking at that I couldn't help but think that I do have an audience way bigger than that, over 130.000 subscribers now.
It's enough to fill almost 7 of these arenas.
We all hear everyday how this platform reaches 2B users, or how this video has 200M views, but it's impossible to grasp the real scale of what that means from just a number on a webpage.
Seeing this crowd made me realize how the things you do online, which seem almost fake and part of a parallel dimension, are in the end real people, taking real time form their very real days to watch what you make or read this newsletter (unless they are evil bots).
So.. thank you fellow humans! 🙏🏻
Getting out of the weeds
You might wonder why I haven't been as active with these newsletter over the last months. Well, the truth is I have reached the peak of how many things I am humanly able to manage.
I work on my YouTube channel on top of my Product Manager fulltime job, so this means the time outside work is spent: writing, editing, replying to emails, manging collaborations with brands, vetting new opportunities, dealing with side projects such as the website and new projects as well such as a behind the scenes look at how I make my videos (something that's been highly requested by you guys).
And this has become just too much to handle. I am a kind of person that naturally wants to embark on many opportunities at the same time, but I realized I'm at a point where I need to structure this not as a hobby, but as a "business" (although I hate this word).
I recently read in the book The E Myth a quote that made me change my viewpoint on how I manage this YouTube channel:
"You need to work on your business, not in your business"
This is why I am taking time to hire an editor I can consistently work with and free up time to write and research video ideas that are unique, and also bring to life all the other exciting projects I have in the pipeline.
📱 Cool Products Spotlight
If there's one area where I want to make sure I have the best products is my EDC (Everyday Carry). I put great care in choosing what I have on me at all times and I have found something that's been a gamechanger for me lately, the inCharge Emergency Cable by Rolling Square
It's my new home keys keychain and it saved my ass in so many situations where I just needed that cable, whether it's for me or for a friend to use.
It's the swiss army knife of USB cables (and it's not a chance it sits on my keys next to my actual swiss army knife)!
