Good day,
Today, we shall consider another obstacle that could prevent you from reaching your goal. This obstacle must be dealt with so that you become the person with the right tools to achieve that goal that you have set for yourself.
Enjoy!
UNCERTAINTY ABOUT MY SKILLS
Are really committed to your goals? If not, your lack of commitment may weaken your confidence in your own skills and abilities. Sometimes you may think that you can do something but you are not really sure about how to deliver it. Remember that the manner in which you mentally talk to yourself impact your performance hence it is important to focus on your strengths. Identify your abilities in a positive way.
Focus on the things that you do well. Then decide which skills need work and identify strategies for improving on them. Taking positive specific action will help you develop confidence in your skills and abilities.
After I resigned my job, I decided to focus on developing and delivering training programmes to the public since I was already a trainer and facilitator for Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM) and a Certified Life Coach. At that point, the pandemic hit and there was a lock-down so my dreams were almost shattered since it was impossible to get participants in a room. Then I realized that for my goal to be reached, I needed to go online but lacked the skill to develop online course and what platform would deliver the best result. In order to solve the problem, I had to take an online course on How to Start Your Online Course by Emeka Nobis with a goal of making $1,000 in my first course series. After the training, I launched my first online course series and made $600 but I did not meet the goal of $1,000. Far from viewing my effort as a failure, I celebrated my commitment to learning a new skill and delivering quality online course, and am grateful for the feedback regarding the value I provide my students through my courses just like this one though this is free.
Here are a few questions that will help you further in dealing with uncertainty about your skills.

What will you do to increase your confidence?

The following tips below will help you build confidence in your skills and improve them;
