A cause to celebrate

Hi
The big birthday has come and gone. I took myself to Melbourne and stayed in The Windsor Hotel (featured in Plan B: Secret Donor Baby). My thoughts often strayed to Pyper as she experienced the hotel for the first time.
While there, I attended a showing of the Harry Potter production - Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. The scenery, lighting, set design, choreography and the special effects were amazing. If you have the opportunity to see this show, either in Melbourne before it finishes, or anywhere else in the world, I highly recommend it. It helps to have an understanding of the series (I read most of the books with my son) but not crucial.
And... then the celebrations...
I also met up with a group of women friends in the Atrium Bar of the Sofitel on Collins to celebrate my birthday and drink cocktails. It was a fabulous night. It's worth a trip to the ladies' loo, as the floor to ceiling windows on the 35th floor look out over the lights of the city.
See what I mean?
Emily

I need your advice
The Red Centre Series, set in Alice Springs, is the first series that I wrote. I am in the process of recovering these books and updating the blurbs, starting with The Red Heart. Below you can see the original Cover and a proposed new cover. Which do you prefer?
To remind you of the plot, the novel features a young pilot who travels to Alice Springs for her new job, describing the people she meets and the dramas that befall her. The current blurb is posted below the cover art.
Original Cover
New Cover
Blue skies beckon with a chance to prove herself. The new job in Alice Springs is a start to Kathy’s new flying career, but she had no idea she was stepping into a dead man’s shoes.
Alex knows the city-slicker is out of her depth in the unforgiving outback. He's conflicted between loyalty to a mate, and the increasing attraction to a woman who gives as good as she gets
.
Heat comes from unexpected sources, shocking Kathy at how she reacts. Not half as shocked when she realises that she and her aircraft are about to become a pile of crumpled metal. Her heart is about to be smashed to pieces and her first time in love looks like being her last.
Disaster has unexpected consequences. Is it too late for Alex to convince Kathy his motivations are genuine? In the sky, Kathy’s in full command, but on the ground she’s in danger of losing her cool.

Street Team
Would you like to join my street team? What's that you ask?
A street team is comprised of readers who share in the writing/reading journey. They may receive draft chapters and be asked to comment on them. Their involvement can help improve the book. A copy of the final edited version will be available so that the reader can read an entire story without interruptions, and of course point out any errors before a finger hits the Publish button.
On release day, you are asked to post a review. The street team participation is a two-way street. If this sounds like something you would enjoy, email me at.
