The last few weeks have been so busy working on the house extensions, but I've dropped the paint brushes occasionally to focus on my writing, or to go for a walk in any scraps of winter sunshine.

A couple of days ago, I came across these beauties feeding on the median strip on my walk down towards the beach. They were so intent on stripping the seeds from the grass, that they let me get quite close.

I love those colours!

The last of the Harrow Series books is finally available.
