Between the Pages

Dear

Writing is hard work. So is completing renovations and extensions. It's not surprising therefore that I have a supervisor for both tasks. At the moment, Kitty is outside in the morning sun, but often she is by my side or curled up on my desk.

She has always been a small cat, but with increasing age, she has lost a little weight. She is 21 years old, which is generally old for a cat. She is still a feisty and opinionated feline, who lets me know if I am not doing the right thing - i.e. not feeding her today's preference (which may or may not be the same as yesterday's) and if I take her to the vet.

She also likes to sleep on my chest at night, which isn't always comfortable. After I push her off, she waits until I am asleep and then creeps back again. She has lived with me since she was a very tiny kitten, and so assumes certain rights.

Anyone else have an elderly bossy cat?

A moonlit night, a country road, a man in a hurry.

From the moment Daniel runs his car into a ditch, to the scene he encounters in a remote part of the bush, he struggles to make sense of what is happening.

In a quiet country town, Cassie invokes the support of the Goddess in controlling her fate. She is a woman on a mission, goaded by the women of the Clan and determined to control her own destiny.

Orchids have long been known as sensual flowers, and when Cassie distils the tincture from the Musky Caladenia Orchid, the effects are mind-blowing. Daniel can attest to that.

The Goddess brought them together; evil nearly tore them apart.

The story is the first in the Harrow series.

An ill wind blows no good.

The storm wreaked havoc on Angus Galbraith’s vineyard. There was only one person who could cause something like that. He’d sworn off women after his disastrous marriage, but when vet nurse, Elodie Emslie took the injured koala under her wing, his interest was piqued. Not everyone challenged him like she had.

Elodie put her gifts in healing animals to good use, but they were no match for the jealousy-fuelled powers that Willow unleased. She had crossed the most vindictive woman in the Clan. The growing attraction between Angus and Elodie put her in immediate danger.

The raging fire in the stables threatened more than the horses that were trapped inside. All hope of rescue lay with Tojan. The heat was unbearable, but Elodie had to be saved. This was a situation of life or death.

The story is the second in the Harrow series.

Vampires. Not the midlife crisis I expected.

When I finally got around to dating after my jackhole of a husband walked out on my fortieth birthday, I thought personal grooming was my biggest worry. Until I went on a date with a vampire and ended up fighting for my life.

Now I see magic—and danger—everywhere I look, and somehow I’m the one responsible for keeping everyone safe.

It’s worse than being roped into heading a PTA committee. Well…maybe.

Anyway, whatever happened to finding a teenage girl to be the Chosen One?

Still, I’ll do whatever it takes to keep the people I love safe.

I might even be willing to protect that jackhole ex. But only if I have to.

Fans of KF Breene, Shannon Mayer, and Victoria Dannan will adore this hot new midlife women’s fantasy novel!
