Moonlight and Turtle Doves

Between the Pages
Hi
I'm a day ahead of myself with this fortnight's newsletter, as tomorrow I am heading to Sydney to attend the 2023 conference for Romance Writers Australia. It will be a huge event, and I am looking forward to catching up with writing friends and all the networking. Usually, I come away with great inspiration as well. The downside is that my flight from Adelaide takes off at 6 am. I am packed already, for that early start, as I will have to leave home at 4:30.
Speaking of huge events, did you see the blood moon last week? I wandered up the street to try and capture it with my mobile phone. Perhaps I'll use this photo when I next write a spooky story.

Maison Angelique
This story has had a short scene inserted at the beginning, easing the reader into the book. The opening chapters have spicy content, and for some readers, it was too much too soon. It's a romp between the sheets with a touch of humour, and far from erotic. I took the comments on board, and added the opening scene.

Two Turtle Doves
Together with eleven other authors, I have contributed a story to a Christmas Anthology titled Twelve Days of Christmas. My story isn't hard to guess, looking at the bauble above. It's Two Turtle Doves. Not sure on the release date yet, but obviously in the lead up to Christmas. Watch out for twelve fabulous stories. I'll let you know when it is available on pre-order.

Beta Readers
I'm seeking beta readers for a new novel, a crime story with romantic elements. This book is in draft form, but needs feedback from others on the story structure before it progresses to print. If you are interested, follow the link below. Your comments are important in the development of the book.
Skywalkers
Only fools would be out on a rooftop on a wild, stormy night… and those with nefarious intentions. All Roger wants is to stay out of the weather, and stay out of trouble, but trouble comes looking for him.
The Skywalkers often emerge when the city shuts down for other folk. They are the ones who live above everyone else and keep the city and its buildings running. They are a loose-knit group who support and look out for each other.
When a possible murder disrupts the predictable pattern of his life, Roger finds himself at the centre of unwanted attention. More than that, it seems his life is also at risk.
A heritage consultant, a ginger cat, and a retired concert pianist with a past all play a role in Roger’s desperate attempts to understand who is framing him, and why. From a high vantage point, it seems he may end up as a second stain on the footpath.
Kind regards
