💈60% of Women Cut Their Hair Short - I Went the Other Way!

Hi
Let’s talk about hair because believe it or not, mine has been on its own lil' journey the past few years.
For the longest time, I had a pixie hair cut.
Short, chic, easy to manage and if I’m honest… it suited me a little too well.
You know when something just works? That was me and my pixie.
But back in 2018, I decided to grow it out, just to see what would happen.
Spoiler alert: it’s been a time!
Fast forward to now and I’m swishing around with long hair that I can braid, curl, straighten, throw in a ponytail or leave in a big messy bun when I simply can’t be bothered (which is often).
Honestly? I’m loving it.
I feel like one of those women in the shampoo commercials who just needs a wind machine and a dramatic slow-mo shot.
An interesting fact I read recently is that over 60% of women aged 40+ chop their hair short for practicality, ease or just because society has low-key conditioned us to think long hair is only for the young and carefree.
But who made that rule? Because I must’ve missed the memo.
Growing my hair hasn’t just been about beauty, it’s been about play. It’s about doing something different, embracing change and not being afraid to switch things up just for the vibes.
Will I keep it long forever? Maybe not.
I'm thinking as I grow older, I may go super short again....but for now I’m living for it and that’s all that matters right? It's a personal choice. My choice.
So whether you’re rocking a bob, or out there brushing 2 feet of curls, I just wanna say: wear your hair your way! And If you have 'no hair' like my beautiful husband David, that's fine too - he loves it and it really suits him.
There’s no age limit on experimenting.
No expiry date on feeling fab.
Hair is hair… but it’s also joy, expression and a damn good excuse to flirt with your own reflection.
Sending you love, conditioner and just the right amount of split ends! Happy Friday and have a great Easter break weekend too!
Love ya!
