Do think there is a "Success Mindset"?

Dear Wonderful Woman,

I hope you're well.

I believe that your mindset is very important. What you feed your mind. What you believe to be "true". The values you have. What kind of place you believe the world to be. Sure this sounds kind of philosophical and to an extent it is! I'd like you to consider the following statements. Which out of the 4 makes you think, "I'm not sure if I'm down with that yet!"?

I am open to receiving feedback.

I am open to new ways of doing things.

I am open to learning from my "Failures".

I am open to being uncomfortable in the pursuit of my own personal development.

Which brings me to the question of the moment! Do you think there is such a thing as a "success mindset"? So, I'm gonna say it again, I believe that your mind is a powerful thing! What you tell it has an affect on what you do, don't do, and what you believe.

What do you think that you would need to tell your mind to create your own "success mindset"?

Let's brainstorm this together. Here's what would be on my list:

Ditch striving towards perfectionism.

Embrace "Failure" as a stepping stone.

Take action before you are ready.

Share your success and celebrate the success of others.

What's on your list?

Today, I was considering how moving from a moderately "Fixed Mindset" to a "Growth Mindset" as coined by Dr. Carol S. Dweck has really transformed my life. Let's explore the definitions briefly below, as taken from my book.

A Fixed Mindset

"A person that defines success very narrowly, seeks instant results, and neglects the opportunity to learn from failure.

They are very hard on themselves; they constantly strive for perfection."

A Growth Mindset

"Is apparent in someone that accepts that change is constant; and that it is, indeed, good to be open to learning, undertaking new experiences, and challenging themselves to reach their goals."

Your personal development is a journey, which takes time, for you to accept that you want to change and for you to take action. I'm rooting for you all the way! Be kind to yourself and have patience, you'll need it to overcome any challenges that arise along the way. I've recently launched my 5-days of positive action to help you - Unleash your inner Cheerleader. I hope that you can join us.

I've had some awesome guests who have helped us to explore how to silence your inner critic. You can check out the replays HERE.
