Am I self-sabotaging myself and doubting confidence in my abilities?

Dear Wonderful Woman,
How are you doing?
I'm well.
One of the things I often speak with clients about is building confidence. It's really important to understand that you need to actively build yourself self-esteem and confidence so that you don't deny yourself opportunities in the workplace.
If you think about confidence in the context of job-hunting, if there are 2 candidates one is confident in their skills and experience and the other one doesn't take ownership for their talent it's obvious who's going to get the job.
It's important that you take ownership of your gifts and talents and not to shy away from owning the good work you've done, being visible in the workplace and sharing your opinions.
As women we may have been raised and conditioned not shine our light too brightly, to listen more than we speak and made to feel that being to visible is not our right or domain.
Confidence is not one and done it's an active practice.
It could be standing between you and going for your biggest career goal........
A promotion
Getting a new job
Negotiating your salary
Making a career change
Starting a side-hustle
Becoming self-employed
Today I encourage you to think about your beliefs around your confidence and how you can proactively cultivate your confidence. Reflect on these 2 questions:
1 What's my biggest blocker in believing in my skills and talents?
2 Was there a time in my career when my confidence was high and what is the difference between now and that time?
