Sometimes you need to go the extra mile for your Career!

Dear Wonderful Woman,
How are you doing?
I hope you're well.
After 7 years in our current home we're ready to move and find our dream home. So why am I telling you this?
Well because in order to put our house on the market we had to research an estate agent, find out the current market rate for our home and then engage the right estate agent to parter with to get our house sold. I can tell you had 3 different estate agents come to value our house and to outline how they would sell our house if we choose them. After care consideration we decided to go with an independent estate agent, who had slightly different ideas about how we could sell our home and the price we could achieve. He had a brilliant on-boarding process which included top tips for getting the best price for your home. As you can imagine living in your home for 7 years you amass a lot of clutter and there is a need to clear out, tidy and show your home at it's best.
Here's the thing about going the extra mile in selling your home and in your career! Sometimes it's a painful thing that you've been avoiding that you've got to do to go the extra mile. For us it was de-cluttering, clearing away and hiring a cleaner to help us. Because let me tell you, I've seen homes for sale which sell you an enticing life and I've seen homes which just think a home is a home and they've left their clutter on show. Which do you think is going to sell faster? The house with clutter or the beautiful clean house, which shows potential and opportunity for you to move straight in and to put your own stamp on!
So to end here are 3 ways you can go the extra mile for your career:
1 Declutter and spring-clean your mind of the thoughts that are not serving you
I say this time and time again! However, like going to the gym, it's something you've got to do more than once. Take action to note just one, re-frame it to a thought that serves you and repeat it daily.
2 Find a support team & surround yourself with the people that inspire you to do better
I recently met a new connection who is a coach that told me that she recently cleared out a lot of her old friends because they were not aspiring or wanting to go in the same direction as her. It may sound harsh, but you do need to do an audit of who you surround yourself with and are they the right people to support you to get to where you want to go too.
3 Getting out of your comfort zone, because that's not where you're going to progress from - Discomfort is not all bad, growing pains happen for a reason, but ultimately don't last forever!
I know you know! So I'll say it again, go beyond your comfort zone tackle 1 thing at a time, start small and celebrate your wins!
Have a great day ahead.
Warm Regards,
Ekua
