2 Reason why shouldn't worry about being unemployed

Dear Wonderful Woman,

How are you doing?

I hope you're well.

I've recently on-boarded a new client who is making a career transition. One of the things that was a key concern for her was not being unemployed or getting laid off. I understand how in these uncertain times that would be a concern. However I approach this issue from a different mindset. A mindset which believes that I or You can handle any situation or circumstance.

So today I'm going to share 2 reasons why you should not worry about being unemployed/laid off/or getting fired:

1 Getting Another Job isn't the problem!

I agree it's definitely an uncomfortable or a worrying time if you think you may be sacked, the company is down-sizing or an other reason to think that you're job may be at risk.

Here's the thing and this is really about dealing "with the pain and the suck that we feel" about the situation, we're only human! But crucially valuing ourselves, talents and skills so strongly that you take the actions you need to get another job.

Job searching when you've not dealt with "your painful issue", is far less effective because you're going through the motions and "doing the things", but actually there cognitive dissonance going on here, your conscience and subconscious-brain are not in alignment. And let me let you Ladies, the sub-conscious brain wins every-time!

2 Habit 1 Be Proactive - The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Dr. Stephen Covey

Habit 1 is be proactive. What does that mean? It means that you focus on what you can control and not your circumstance. As stark and as hard as that sounds, this is an absolutely and powerful game-changing principle to live by. Off course you may occasionally fall off the wagon, that's ok! But having that awareness and reverting back to this life changing principle is invaluable.

I will end by letting you know, my up coming monthly Masterclass is coming up on 26th April at 7pm - 8:30pm UK time. To join in voting on the topic for this month, do so: HERE
