Put your Mental Health First

Dear Wonderful Woman,
How are you doing?
I'm well.
Today is the 3rd Anniversary of the death of George Floyd.
In addition Tina Turner an absolute legend and the Queen of Rock'n'Roll has passed away, RIP.
Seminal moments of loss happen in all of our lives and these give rise to a whole range of emotions.
The injustice of systemic racism, police brutality, and the lack of equity and inclusion in the workplace and society is a frustration that can take its toll on all of us.
Today, I wanted to ask you to take a moment to find peace, to be still and to find a moment of calm.
To give yourself a break and to do something to support your mental health and well-being.
Because we can take a lot on in our minds when it comes:
To the pressure we put on ourselves with achieving our careers goals
Managing the dynamics of our particular workplace
Managing the sometimes unhelpful behaviours and comments of colleagues or managers
Getting our voice and opinions heard at meetings
Not being where we want to be yet in our Career
It can be stressful, when we let these issues get on top of us.
I wanted remind you that these challenging issues do not define our limit our potential.
Today, I would like you to give yourself some grace.
To lean into filling up your cup with a simple action that supports your mental health and well-being.
Hit reply and let me know, what is 1 thing that you are going to do support your mental-health and well-being today?
My final words today are:
Be Kind to yourself.
Be Kind to yourself.
Be Kind to yourself.
And show yourself some love. ❤️
Have a fun, joyful and restful weekend.
Warm Regards,
Ekua 💛
P.S. Remember that you don't have to do it alone, seeking professional help can support your mental health, well-being and growth. Don't be afraid to explore that option if you need to.
