2 Reasons why where you are now in your career does not define your career in the future

Dear Wonderful Woman,

How are you doing?

I hope you're well.

I've been having conversations with women who are taking action on making career transitions. It strikes me that we need to remember that it takes time to get to your final career destination and even then the work is not done because you will have a new found confidence and desire to reach further or to make a bigger impact.

So today I'm going to share 2 reasons why where you are in your career right now does not define your future.

1 Where you are today is the present

Every day you have the opportunity to take action to move the needle forward, to learn, to learn from your "failure" and to acknowledge and celebrate your progress!

2 Habits take time to become habits!

What you do every day as a proactive and conscious effort to move in the direction of your career goal helps to move you forward. If you don't have proactive career habits, take a moment to audit what you do daily. Ask yourself, what's 1 thing I can do to move my career forward everyday? Then start tomorrow and note down every day you do it and work on building your streak of days. It typically takes between 60-90 days to form a habit. So keep at it Ladies!

Finally I'd like to extend a warm invitation to you Masterclass this month where we'll be looking at The 5 Surprising and Compelling Benefits of an Inclusive Wellbeing Strategy on 29th March, 7pm-8:30pm UK time.
