Twisting yourself into pretzel is overated!

Dear Wonderful Woman,
How are you doing?
I'm well and feeling refreshed.
Just before I went on holiday I was working on potentially on-boarding a new corporate client. I was excited to do the workshop and to support an ERG with attaining their goals to support their member's needs. I shared with them my offer and my costs. When I shared my costs I opened a negotiation process, which in this case was not successful.
Before the holiday I was getting into "twisting myself into pretzel mode"! What I mean by this was I was changing, reducing and trying to see how I could fit in their box. After the holiday I realised that I did not want to fit into their box and the potential costs for me would have been high and the gain for me low. So I decided to walk away and pursue other opportunities.
You should use my story to think about how does this apply too:
- Your current work situation
- Your Career Goals
- Your Financial Goals
Do you need to rest rather than contort?
Are you ready to see that, "You are the magnificent Prize!, and there are other wonderful opportunities out there for you.
Have a wonderful evening.
Warm Regards,
Ekua 💛
