Is there a pain-free way to personal growth?

Dear Wonderful Woman,
I hope that you're well.
As it is January, I wonder if you have been thinking about personal growth? As it's that time of year when you think about the potential of what you could achieve this year.
Do you wonder whether you need to get uncomfortable, fed-up or if you need to have a catalyst to give you the motivation to go for your most ambitious personal growth dream? Wondering if your fears or limiting-beliefs are holding you back from taking the action that you need? Because it's safer and pain-free not to take action. However, it does not move you any further forward in reaching your goals. Consider the following statements:
I don't go for my dreams because it doesn't meet someone else's expectations of how I should live my life.
I don't take any steps to find out the information that I need to achieve my goals because if I did, then I would no longer have an excuse not to take action.
I don't take the steps to go for my goals because I don't believe that I can make them happen, so it's safer not to even try.
I don't take any action to practise what I'd like to get better at, because at least that way I don't have to feel embarrassed, humiliated, or like a "failure", on the journey to achieving my dreams.
I don't take action to change the thoughts that tell me, "I can't", "I will fail" or "I'm not good enough" because they keep me "safe" from "failure".
I don't want to endure any pain, challenge or frustrations because that means clearly that I'm not good enough to achieve my biggest dreams. Because it's meant to be easy to achieve success!
This is a laundry list of thoughts that I'm sure that you may have thought at one time or another. Myself included! Those thoughts are not helpful or constructive. I believe it is much more helpful to work on building a mindset, that allows you to know that anything, that you truly want will take work and you will encounter, "some growing pains" along the way.
It comes back to the age old story, which is when were are a child, you went through a process of continual learning and failure until you could walk. You definitely fell down when you were learning to walk, because you didn't know how or what to do! You had to practice and learn the right things to do in order for you to finally walk. We need to adopt that same mindset as adults, one that reminds us that we need to adopt a "learning attitude" to your business, career or life. Because it is in the acceptance that when you're learning it may not always be easy or pain-free, it is just part of the process. Crucially you should not expect to learn without there being some challenge to overcome. You should learn to embrace that challenge and let it help you to achieve your biggest dream.
Yes, that is me as child!
Can you relate to any of the above thoughts? I'd love you to get in touch to arrange a Free 1 Hour Positive Mindset Strategy Session to take your thinking to the next level!
Don't forget, that the learning curve is never straight. So, when you take action, you're doing awesome! 🙌
Warm Regards,
Ekua 💛
