What is Confidence?

Dear Wonderful Woman,


I hope you're well.


I am really excited to be bringing you the KickStart your Career 2022 virtual stocking filling which will contain the tools and strategies you need to achieve your biggest career dreams in 2022. One of the key topics that women just like you said that they needed support with was with "Confidence".


I have been thinking about "Confidence", what does is mean and how to make it a more permanent state of being. Because confidence for me comes from action, context and is state of mind and being. I have never created content and learning materials like I am currently doing, but I am confident that the end result will help women just like you to understand how to bring about that state of being. Relatedly, I have been thinking about how having a positive and intentional morning routine really sets you up for the day. Now I know something of you are going to cry, but I'm not a morning person! Whether you're a morning person or not there are is still an opportunity for to put in place a practice that will help you to be optimistic, resilient and able to overcome whatever the day brings.


I have been speaking with a new client about this recently how she approaches her morning routine as a busy professional Mum with children, she discovered that she didn't like mornings and therefore did not look forward to getting up and starting the day. She reflected and realised that she needed to reflect on what was causing her to feel this way. By putting in place personal practises personal to her and her beliefs she has noticed a mindset shift about how she approaches mornings and how she subsequently feels throughout the day.


I believe there is so much that can be gained from putting in place a positive and proactive positive morning routine, which has a ripple effect on your career and your life. I am going to be putting on a workshop to share the best positive morning routine practices by experts and sharing my own experiences. 1 Do a Gratitude Practice


Start your day with noting down 3 things you're grateful for and do it a way that speaks to you. Which could be written, voicenote, drawing, song etc


2 Daily Affirmations


Start your day with saying positive "I am" statements and do it a way that speaks to you. Which could be written or voicenote. Stick them up where you can see them and be reminded of them.


To end I'd like to welcome you to this new month, I wish you every success with progress towards your goals and hope that you stay committed when it gets tough. Because I know you can do the hard things in your career!
