Invitation for EAs & Support Staff: 6th Annual EABCS Conference – Foundations of FASD (Oct 23, 2026)

Dear School Administrators, District Staff, and Learning Support Teams, and Educators (Teachers and Educational Assistants)

We are pleased to invite your Education Assistants, Learning Support Teachers, and Instructional Support Staff to the 6th Annual Education Assistants of BC Society (EABCS) Conference.

This year's conference focuses on "Building Safety Through Connection: Foundations of FASD - Relationship, Regulation, and the Brain-Body Connection to Learning."

Event Overview

Why Attend?

Understanding Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and nervous-system-aligned communication is essential for foster-based, relational, and trauma-informed support in today's classrooms. Trina Chivilo brings 14 years of teaching experience across challenging pre-K to 12 environments, 6 years in provincial outreach, and extensive community partnership experience. Participants will gain practical, evidence-informed strategies to help students co-regulate, surface essential strengths, and enhance learning through connection.

Registration & District Pricing Options

⚠️ Note on In-Person Attendance: In-person seating at the Abbotsford Arts Centre is strictly limited. We encourage early registration to guarantee a seat in the venue.

How to Register

Please share this professional development opportunity with your school's Education Assistants, Learning Support Teachers, and support staff. Links to the conference Webinar will be sent to all paid ticket holders, and registered EABCS members one week before the conference. If you are doing the group or district purchaser the link will be sent to the point of contact and they will share.

Individual registrations and school passes can be completed online at: https://educationassistantsbc.org/shop

Thank you for your ongoing dedication to supporting inclusive education across British Columbia.

Warm regards,

Education Assistants of BC Society (EABCS)
