Why you may be fatigued

Fatigue can have numerous causes, but there's one cause that often gets missed.
Once you rule out certain viral loads (such as Epstein Barr), nutrition/fueling, gut dysbiosis, mycotoxins, other lifestyle factors (exercise, stress) etc
Then we need to dig deeper and think "what's in this person's environment that could be making them unwell?"
You may have guessed it... specific toxicants found in our environment can cause fatigue.
How do they do this?
These toxicants can directly impact our mitochondria, which is the powerhouse of our cells. The mitochondria's job is to produce energy for the cell to perform it's function. So without adequate energy, you experience fatigue, brain fog, even hormonal issues.
What are the toxicant and chemicals to look out for?
- heavy metals (lead, cadmium, mercury, arsenic)
- PFAS
- acrylamide
- pesticides
Where are these found?
Watch my 5 minute YouTube video that discusses where heavy metals tend to hide, and how to choose better products.
PFAS are considered the "forever chemical" meaning they can take up to a decade to break down. It's commonly found in anything stain resistant ( ie outdoor gear, carpets), cookware, food packaging, and even drinking water.
Those filters on our fridge do little to filter out chemicals in the water supply, especially PFAS.
PFAS, pesticides, and heavy metals have been found to contaminate the water supply. This is why investing in a high quality water filter is so important.
My favorite filter is Aquatru, because they are an NSF certified Reverse Osmosis system which is able to filter out all those chemicals. That link gives you $100 off. This company provides both countertop and under the sink installations.
Other ways to avoid pesticides?
Choose organic produce when possible. Avoid allowing these pesticides sprayed on your lawn. You can watch this video on my YouTube channel for how to soak non organic produce to remove pesticides.
Consultations
Get to the root of what may be causing any symptoms and learn how to avoid these chemicals within your home.
My practice revolves around supporting your body's detoxification pathways to help eliminate any unwanted toxins found in the body. Often times from repeated exposure to these, one of our pathways can get "clogged", which is why symptoms can get worse.
