Why you should be breaking a sweat

Have you heard of toxic load syndrome?

This means 1 or more of our body's elimination pathways for excreting toxins & chemicals is not functioning optimally.

When this occurs, we start to see a host of different symptoms that don't seem to nudge.

Here are a few of the common ones I see in my practice:

  • Fatigue
  • Unable to lose weight
  • Skin issues (eczema, acne..)
  • Hormone imbalances
  • Gut issues

How does our body come to experience toxic load?

  1. From continuous exposure to environmental pollutants/toxins found in our personal care products, water supply, furniture, cookware, etc
  2. Not supporting our body's pathways with nutrients necessary to support the enzymatic reactions necessary for filtering through these toxins

How does sweating play a role?

Many toxic compounds appear to be PREFERENTIALLY excreted through sweat!

Do I have to work out every day just to sweat?

No. You can sweat through sauna use or even a very warm bath using epsom salt.

Specific toxins eliminated through sweat:

  • PCBs (known human carcinogen)
  • BPA (resistant weight loss, infertility, PCOS, gut issues)
  • Pesticides (resistant weight loss, gut dysbiosis/issues)
  • Heavy metals (many chronic health issues including type 2 diabetes)

My favorite choice of sweating is through use of an Infrared Sauna, because it emits heat energy along the infrared wavelength specifically heating us from the core. Research shows it's effectiveness at mobilizing those above toxins out of our system.

My favorite? The Sunlighten brand because they use high quality materials (no toxic glues, etc) in their manufacturing. Use code DRPEACOCK for $100 off and free shipping.

I also love this company because they have a solo model (which I prefer because it heats up faster) at a much cheaper price.
