Why purifying your indoor air is important

Hi there,
Before I go into the amazing deal that my favorite air purifier company is offering, I wanted to talk about the importance of air quality.
The first TWO things I always address with clients regarding environmental toxins are: air + water quality. After we’ve addressed an optimal plant based diet of course!
This is because air and water are the two things we are in constant contact with, so it makes sense to address these first.
Why is purifying our air important?
We breathe 11,000L of air per day. The air inside our homes is on average 5-7x more toxic than the outdoor air! This is because most of us are using toxic cleaning products, scented products, and have furniture that are off gassing chemicals into the air.
Most of us also don’t open our windows to let fresh air in. One of my biggest tips is if the outside air is clean, is to open your windows every day for about 15 minutes.
You can check your local air quality with www.airnow.gov.
Consider using some plants to freshen the air too! There was a NASA air study that looked at some specific plants that help purify the air.
- Snake plant
- Red edged dracaena
- English ivy
- Bamboo plam
- Peace lily
- Lady palm
- Chrysanthemum
AirDoctor is my favorite company because they have one of the best ultra HEPA filters! It captures the smallest particles in your air: bacteria, viruses, pet dander, pollen, even mold.
It’s been tested to capture particles 100 times smaller than the other HEPA standard filters on the market. Most standard HEPA filter capture around .3 microns, while the AirDoctor filters down to .003 microns.
It also has a professional grade laser sensor to monitor air quality and adjusts filtration speed according to your air quality.
I personally have the AD3000. Click this link and you get $300 off! They also have major savings on their other filters too.
The deal lasts from March 22nd- April 5th!
It's all about supporting your body to function optimally
Always remember to support your body’s natural detoxification with antioxidants, vitamin C rich foods, staying hydrated, and getting adequate sleep.
A whole plant foods diet, comprised of getting proper macro/micronutrients for your lifestyle is absolutely key for this.
Some of my favorite vitamin C rich foods, antioxidant rich herbs, and anti inflammatory foods to focus on:
- Garlic
- Ginger/turmeric
- Broccoli
- Cauliflower
- Onions
- Brussels sprouts
- Bell peppers
- Berries
- Herbs: rosemary, thyme, dandelion root
Keep in mind these don't have to be daily. Getting in a diverse amount of colorful fruits/vegetables + herbs throughout the week is a perfect place to start.
Happiness and health,
Stephanie
