Why is it important to filter our air? Plus big sale inside!

Why could it be important to be filtering our air?
We breathe around 11,000L of air a day... and a lot of this is indoors. The EPA estimates that indoor air is 5-7x more toxic than outdoor air.
Why is this? Because many products we use in the home are contaminating our air... and most of us aren't opening the windows or purifying the air within our home.
From the EPA: "Indoor concentrations of some pollutants in recent decades... increased use of synthetic building materials, furnishings, personal care products, pesticides, and household cleaners."
Even the American Lung Association recommends "only cleaning products that don't have volatile organic compounds, fragrances, irritants, or flammable ingredients and that air fresheners should avoided."
Known hormone disruptors are found within our dust... BPA & phthalates.
What to look for in an air filter:
An Ultra HEPA filter traps particles to .003 microns, compared to typical HEPA trapping .3 microns. It will remove particles such as dust, pollen pet dander, mold spores.
Also look for a carbon filter which traps VOCs like formaldehyde that off gases from furniture, carpet, paint, bedding, etc. It can also capture bacteria & viruses!
My favorite air filter is the Air Doctor because it contains all of these, plus it's much more affordable than most on the market.
And they're having a HUGE sale!
This sale lasts until Sept 25th at midnight!
Happiness & health,
Stephanie
