Sprouts may help your gut symptoms

Did you know that sprouts have amazing nutrients to support our gut health?
Specifically: sulforaphane.
This powerful nutrient can:
🌱 Aid in correcting dysbiosis by increasing healthy gut bacteria
🌱 Reduce pathogenic bacteria in the gut
🌱 Repair leaky gut by supporting those tight junction formations
They also aid our liver in supporting one of the liver’s detoxification pathways: bile production.
Why is this important?
What we ingest 👉 gets excreted through bile. While we are eating, our gallbladder secretes bile to help us digest. Bile is a huge mechanism for our body to excrete toxins, and it’s critical for digestion/absorption of fats & fat soluble vitamins.
Our liver actually synthesizes bile. Not only this, it’s one of our biggest detoxification pathways! Toxins that enter our body go through different phases to ultimately get excreted through: our waste, urine, or sweat.
Bile is a HUGE piece of this process!
Sulforaphane is amazing at supporting phase 2 of our liver detoxification by: inducing the necessary enzymes and providing the antioxidants to support (doi 10.1021)
If you are experiencing any overburdened gut/liver symptoms, such as: bloating, heartburn, nausea, cramping, insulin resistance, fatigue- then keep reading for what you should do next:
1️⃣ Look at gut health and address any necessary treatments there (leaky gut, bacteria overgrowth, infections)
