Week 8 Video and activities
Nov 29, 2023 8:17 am
Thanks for a rich session last night, traversing the Russian wildwoods!
I'm really glad to have finally got around to telling Baba Yaga, having wandered around her chicken hut for years.
Here is the video if you missed it or would like to review:

And the story activities:
The Blessed Doll
What is the protective doll in your life? How do you feed it? How do you speak to it?
Embrace the Darkness
Spend one evening, or an hour at least, just by candle light.
Meet the Three Riders
Go outside one day at sunrise, noon and dusk, take five minutes to absorb the scene and sense what is different each time. What can you sense/see/hear/feel/smell? Imagine you had to communicate that scene to another, to tell a story or paint a picture.
Feed Baba Yaga
The north, Winter and Baba Yaga represent death and rebirth. What needs to be devoured by the death witch (let go of) this winter to allow a good rebirth in the spring?
Deep rest
Winter is also a time hibernation and rest. Safeguarding rest can be a radical act in modern life. Schedule some deep rest time whatever that looks like for you (sauna, book reading, massage, bath, film etc). Treat yourself!
