Week 9 Video and Activities
May 04, 2023 10:18 am
Hi Everyone,
Thanks for last night's story exploration and debate! I think in future I'll have section in the eve where we get to challenge the story too...it's useful to push back and kind of fun too!
For those who missed the story or would like to revisit, it's available through this link:

Reflective activities and story prompts:
This week I'm recommending a longer sit spot with your journal, to reflect upon this story but also the process we've all been through over this past couple of months.
Questions to consider:
Seal Catcher
What is the wound that can become our gift?
Which gifts have been inherited from ancestors?
Which skeletons (unhelpful patterns) have been passed down from ancestors?
What does it take to be a lineage breaker?
Create a 200 year vision. If we collectively took actions now, what could be an ideal outcome in 200 years?
(this is a concept of long term thinking borrowed from the 8 shields network, borrowed from First Nation peoples.)
Myth as Medicine:
Reflect on journey over these past 2 months
-What have been highlights?
-What have been challenges?
-What has changed?
-What has been unusual?
-How will you continue this journey? What will you carry with you in the coming months?
Which story do you relate to most strongly? Why?
Which character do you relate to most strongly? Why?
Wrapping up
As mentioned, we will gather in ceilidh style next week- each person is welcome to share something if they choose. It could be a story, song, game, poem, picture, anecdote, riddle, joke, or just a listening presence. I'll share a little something too.
If you have any questions regarding this, feel free to get in contact.
Likewise, if you have any ideas, needs etc in order to wrap up in a satisfactory manner, I welcome them too. We already have a suggestion of a list of story sources....anything else?
Feedback would be really helpful, I'll send out a form over the next week, or you can give freely as some of you have already done. Its much appreciated! Feedback around usefulness, impact, enjoyability, summary of experience, potential recommendations and ideas for improvements are all helpful.
