Voices of Celtic Wisdom
Nov 20, 2023 3:32 pm
Greetings story lovers,
The nights are fairly drawing in and the leaves are a rusty palette of ochre, reds and yellows. At this time of the year I find myself dreaming into the next cycle of offerings- online courses, live workshops, retreats, travels, and new stories to prioritise over the next year.
Actually, I find after things slow down a little, and I feel more like hibernating, my best creative ideas and 'dreams' emerge. After they've gestated a little longer I'll reveal more in the coming weeks!
First up though, a couple of online events that I've been invited to participate in, starting with a free online event this evening (Monday 20th).
The Voices of Celtic Wisdom course has drawn together a range of storytellers, lore keepers, song carriers, crafters, and earth-based practitioners, to create an immersive journey of Celtic remembrance through the winter months. I'll be delivering the 'new year' session, creating a digital hearth-fire, appropriate to hogmanay revelry and New Year blessings. Other facilitators include Glennie Kindred, Manda Scott, Danu Forest, Seoras Macpherson, Angharad Wynne, Michael Harvey, Micheal Newton and many more. It's going to be a belter of a course delivered by the fine folk at Weaving Remembrance.
If you'd like to investigate further, or sign up you can do so via this link:
If you'd like to get a taste of it first, there will be a free online introductory session tonight, which you can access via the following link. I'll be presenting alongside 5 other teachers. It'll be a fine way to spend a Monday evening.
Maybe I'll see you tonight, or through the winter months, one way or another.
Wishing you all the best winter's dreaming and inspiration through the darker months.
Best Wishes
Dougie
