Myth as Medicine pre course prep

Greetings all,
I hope you're enjoying the steady stretching of the daylight hours as we keep towards spring. I've just returned from Germany, where I was on a really inspiring wolf tracking course...I think at least on more tale will be added to our story cycle!
I'm happy to say that a fine bunch of folk have signed up for Myth as Medicine, and we will Geta chance to meet next week. The first session will allow some time for orientation and setting into things, but ahead of that, I thought the following would be useful:
Firstly, I have a few questions, which you may want to share with me, or consider for yourself.
What is your intention for doing this programme?
How would you like this story cycle to support your year?
Which story or myth (or film/book etc) feels most relevant and alive for you right now? Why?
I'd love to hear your answers, as it will help me get to know you all bit before we start and better understand your intentions. It is however optional, and maybe just considering the above will be enough to prime you for what is to come.
Secondly,
In the background of Myth as Medicine is a framework around relating to the cycles of nature. It's not essential that you know too much about this, but if you're interested you might enjoy this Ted Talk by '8 shields Institute' founder Jon Young.

Third, If you'd like to warm up ahead of next weeks start you might enjoy listening to Michael Meade's Living Myth podcast. Meade has been a pioneer in the story world for a long time and has a knack for relating ancient tales to contemporary issues:

That should do for now.
If you have any questions feel free to get in touch.
I'll send out the zoom link for meetings over the weekend.
Best Wishes
Dougie
