I write dark fantasy, mysteries, and speculative fiction — stories about people who carry more than they were meant to carry.
Right now I am doing four things at once. Finishing an 80-chapter dark fantasy book called the Neverborn, serializing a mystery series called Quiet Street Mysteries, outlining a six-book saga called Bloodline of Ashes, and reading more indie books than is sensible. The newsletter is where all of it lands, once a week, in your inbox.
The headline is the Neverborn. Between now and the book's release in February 2028, I am writing four short stories from inside its world — one for each season. They go to this newsletter and nowhere else. Not the blog, not social media. Just the people who sign up.
The first is The Guildmaster's Burden — the account of the night a man found a child who should not exist. That child is Maks, the boy at the centre of the book. The man is the Ellerni, guildmaster of a thieves' guild. Everything about that meeting sits underneath the central mystery of the novel.
- The four Neverborn short stories. Subscriber-only until the book arrives. One for each season between now and February 2028.
- A weekly in-depth indie book review. The ones that deserve more attention than they are getting. What worked, what did not, and who it is for.
- Occasional writing prompts — with my own attempt written first, so you never face a blank page alone.
- Quiet Street Mysteries, week to week. Recaps, character notes, and the parts that do not fit between the chapter breaks.
- Bloodline of Ashes — the six-book saga, watched from the outline up.
- First callouts for beta reads and ARCs, before they go anywhere public.
