Last month, I got called to jury duty. It's not the first time I've been summoned, but it was the first time I ever had to actually sit through a trial. I found the entire process fascinating: from jury selection, opening arguments, witness testimony, and all the way through deliberation. I've always been fascinated with law and order, and I appreciated experiencing our judicial system instead of just researching it.
Did you catch that last bit? Yes, I've been doing a lot of research these past few months about the criminal justice system, specifically in Oregon. That's because I'm writing about a lawyer who discovers a magical world of fae hidden right underneath her nose.
I'm pleased to announce my next book A Lawyer in Fae Court.
The Magical Midlife Lawyer series stars Elizabeth Stark, a deputy district attorney who thinks she's seen it all in her two decades practicing law, but when a strange murder case lands on her desk, she's thrust out of the courtroom and into the world of fae.
This book kicks off a brand-new trilogy that brings back some familiar characters from my other PWF series. You don't have to read the previous books to enjoy this one, but if you have, you're in for a treat.
Are you excited about my new book series? Me too! Send me a line at [email protected] if you need to talk about it because I'm brimming over here with excitement!
