📝 Key Points

First, let's understand this question's structure.

• You participate in an academic conversation as a student – talking to either another student or a professor.
• You listen and choose correct answers for 5 multiple-choice questions in 4 minutes. ⏳
• You can only listen to the audio once, so be ready!
• After the conversation, you write a short summary (more on this in my next email).

🧐 Strategies

Use these strategies in your practice to improve your listening and do better on the this question.

1. Read the scenario carefully: The scenario introduces the context of the conversation. When you grasp the context, following the conversation becomes a lot easier!

2. Pay attention to who's talking: Conversations between students tend to be informal, while interactions with professors are typically formal. Use this to guide your answers.

3. Find synonyms: The correct answers often use synonyms instead of the exact words from the conversation.

For example, if the conversation is about "job satisfaction", a correct answer might use the phrase "contentment in my profession" instead.

4. Check previous answers: You can scroll up to see the earlier parts of the conversation. So, if you're stuck on a question, check your previous answers as they might have clues.
